My name is Dr Sharma, and I am an associate professor in the University of Florida Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. I have clinical interests in celiac disease and hereditary forms of GI cancers, including Lynch syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis, serrated polyposis syndrome, juvenile polyposis syndrome and peutz-jeghers syndrome, and genetic mutations associated with gastric cancer. I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees at Government Medical College Amritsar in India. Afterward, I completed my gastroenterology residency at Catholic Medical Center and Hepatology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. I have extensive experience in treating patients with refractory H pylori infections.
