My name is Justin Hilliard, MD. I am a neurosurgeon with a special focus in deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and dystonia. Beyond DBS, I treat patients with a wide range of neurosurgical conditions, including brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, cranial trauma and spine trauma. I graduated cum laude with research distinction in biomedical engineering from Duke University. I received my medical degree from the University of Virginia with research honors. During my time in medical school, I was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Medical Research Fellow.
