Kirsten Freeman, MD is an Assistant Professor with the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Florida, and the Associate Program Director for the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Integrated and Traditional Residency Training Programs. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a minor in Economics. She then went on to pursue her education at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine where she received her doctorate of medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Colorado Denver. Additionally, Dr Freeman completed a cardiothoracic surgery research fellowship at the University of Colorado.
