As a hernia specialist, minimally invasive surgeon and associate professor, multimission track, in the University of Florida Department of Surgery, I aim to create a premier abdominal wall and hernia center, a leader in offering leading-edge hernia surgery by using the latest techniques and technologies. I strive to perform large operations using small incisions because this provides patients less pain, quicker recovery and decreased risk of complications. I treat patients for incisional, recurrent and hiatal hernias, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. My training began at the University of Jordan in Amman where I obtained my medical degree.
