Hello, my name is Dr Ramin Daneshvar. I am mainly a clinician, seeing and treating many patients daily. Still, I also try to be a good teacher and mentor to show my students and residents the great responsibility they have to prevent a disease like glaucoma with irreversible blindness. Our ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life of our patients, and an academic setting that integrates clinical work, teaching, and research is the best play to do that. I love to do research to find better diagnostic and therapeutic measures for eye diseases, especially glaucoma. As a second grader in elementary school, I was walking home when I accidentally hit the white cane of a blind person coming from the opposite side.
