Laura Jacobsen, MD

Hello, my name is Laura Jacobsen and I am an assistant professor and pediatric endocrinologist. I joined the University of Florida faculty in 2018 in the department of pediatrics. I was inspired to become a physician when I volunteered at the Florida Diabetes Camp and found my passion for caring for children with complex medical conditions. I completed my pediatric residency training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, which was followed by a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the UF Health Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. During my fellowship, I was recognized for excellence in medical student teaching, and received the Henry A Kokomoor Outstanding Fellowship Award.
